The InBody Score is a numerically quantifiable body composition analysis output. It is a simplified score InBody has created to assess general distribution of body composition and track changes. It can be used to illustrate a quick gauge for a tester's current body composition balance and introduces a competitive edge when comparing score with others.
The InBody Score is calculated based on the amount of lean and fat mass an individual has. The baseline is 80; more points are given for more lean mass and less fat, and points are deducted if one has more fat and less lean mass. I have attached a document explaining how InBody score is calculated.
It is very possible for an individual to score over 100 points on their InBody Score and is not a device issue. This is usually seen in individuals who have a great balance of lean and fat mass.
The InBody Score starts with a baseline of 80 points and adjusts based on the user's lean and fat mass. I have attached a document explaining how it is calculated for your reference.
*Recent InBody models (InBody 770, 570, 370S, 270, 970, 380, 580, 270S) do not have a limit on the InBody score. Older InBody models are limited to 120 points.
